City Hall The Hague

Jacot Audiovisual provides the Netherlands' most modern boardroom for the municipality of The Hague.

On Thursday, the 15th of December 2016, the new council hall of the municipality of The Hague was put into service and Jacot provided the audiovisual systems.

Together with the project team, Jacot has mapped the entire meeting process of the municipality in order that the audiovisual installation is perfectly adapted to every step of the process. The installation contributes to a high level of user-friendliness and increases efficiency during the board and committee meetings.

The boardroom is equipped with digital Dicentis discussion microphones with an identification and voting capability. The discussion microphones are linked to meeting software in order that the councilors can log in with their passports, express their vote on motions and simultaneously see the allocated talk time expire.

From the automatic camera registration the video images, talk times and voting results are displayed on the screens in the boardroom. These images are and endowed with metadata, via ConnectedViews from ArborMedia, and can also be streamed live on the municipality's website. On the supplied Video on Demand platform, all meetings from 2009 are available to all stakeholders.

In addition to the boardroom, the foyer is also equipped with new audiovisual systems. This spot is used for larger meetings, press conferences and for viewing the meeting in the boardroom. Adjacent to the foyer is the Commission / Press Room situated. In January 2017 Jacot Audiovisueel set up this room with nearly the same audiovisual system as the boardroom.

The presidium of The Hague is very pleased with the first council meeting: "On December 15 we took the most modern boardroom of the Netherlands into service," said chairman Rachid Guernaoui. David de Haan, information adviser, also speaks of success: "We have had a successful first meeting in the renewed boardroom. I would like to thank you very much for your efforts to make this possible, my compliments!”
